Sometimes we miss out on our lives because we are looking at the big picture rather than at the little moments. Fridays are reserved for me to post about a simple day to day experience that contributes to the tapestry of my life.
I usually don't send my kids to daycare because I am a WAHM. But for the next 5 weeks they get the full daycare experience while my husband is in Lithuania. I have daycare scheduled for one to two days each week - just so I don't turn into a freakish mommy. Today happened to be their first day and my oldest daughter was delighted. She spent the morning filling her pink Dora backpack with an extra set of clothes, a bathing suit, a beach towel, a sunhat, and her Cinderella lunchpack. When it was time to go, she strapped the Dora backpack onto her back and headed for the minivan. It sort of felt like a first day of school. . . The day was a success for her - filled with constant play - she didn't want to leave. As for my younger daughter, it's a completely different story . . .
