Sweet Sweet Five

Sweetness turned five last week.

A day well planned. Sitting at the patio table, cantaloupe on her lips, telling the moments that should fill her special day. An excitement of full understanding fills her voice, she's been there before, knowing what the day will hold. A balloon at her chair, waffles, strawberry preserve, whip cream, an untouched present or two, or maybe three. Sweet words for a sweet girl spoken by all who love. Wide open eyes, wide open mouth, a brilliant squeal of delight. Another hug, another smile, another picture to hold onto this moment.

five thankful thoughts of Sweetness ~
~ initiated "love yous"
~ goodnight kisses on the eyes, the chin, the ear, the elbow, the cheek and then the lips
~ doing her best with a joy that comes from dreams unshattered
~ being a friend - true, loyal, sincere
~ choosing what is right

five accomplishments by five ~
~ rattling off the fruit of the spirit like nobody's business
~ showing mama that she can read - just mama and her on the couch
~ touching at the bottom of the water slides
~ riding with trainer wheels ~ fast
~ loving on her baby sisters with sweet words, hands, kisses

five delights that mama can't get enough of ~

~ a game, just her, her creations, a collection of this and that
~ belly laughing

All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. ~ Psalm 139:16
