A Day in the Life
Rain contains an interesting paradox - grown-ups usually detest it while kids usually love it. My girls both have a pair of brightly colored gumboots that they ask to wear at even the slightest drizzle. The other morning they woke up and noticed it had rained during the night. Breakfast usually comes first in the mornings, but not this morning. Purple and yellow gumboots got pulled on over the bottoms of pajamas and the girls were splashing in puddles at the crack of dawn. I wonder if I'll ever hear my girls sincerely sing "Rain, rain go away. Come again another day."
